YAMAHA XSR 155 2019 VILLAGE, FIGHTING HONDA CB150R

The nakedbike Yamaha XSR 155 has officially launched in Thailand with the impressive design style as two elder models of the XSR 700 and XSR 900, priced from $ 2,900.

Since the beginning of this year, information about Yamaha developing and about to launch the XSR 155 classic car has been posted on many forums. To date, Yamaha has chosen the Thai market as the first point to officially unveil the 2019 XSR 155.


Yamaha XSR 155 2019 has a classic style, bold design of two elder models XSR 700 and XSR 900. Currently, in the Retro / Heritag segment, Yamaha has only two models XSR 700 and XSR 900. While Meanwhile, Honda has introduced many variants in this segment with the new Neo Sport Café design language, CB150R, CB250R, CB300R and CB1000R.

The Japanese motorbike company directs XSR 155 to young customers who want to look for a model different from the MT-15 and YZF-R15. It is based on the Yamaha MT-15 Delta Box frame, classic single-LED headlights, LED taillights and LCD watches and the classic round shape. The handlebars are tall and wide, the fuel tank has a teardrop shaped design, a flat saddle, short fenders. USD sports front forks along with rear shock absorbers.


The 2019 Yamaha XSR 155 is 2,000 mm long, 805 mm wide and 1,080 mm high. Wheelbase 1,330 mm, seat height 810 mm, ground clearance 170 mm. Fuel tank capacity of 10 liters, weight 134 kg.


Safety equipment includes a single-wheel disc brakes. Vehicles using 17-inch alloy rims combined with tubeless tires, 110/70 front tires and 140/70 rear tires. Unfortunately, the XSR 155 2019 is not equipped with ABS brakes, while the new Honda CB150R is integrated on both wheels.


Based on the MT-15 engine platform system, Yamaha developed the new XSR 155 with a single cylinder engine, 155cc capacity combined with VVA variable valve technology. This variable valve system helps the car to have the torque and power of the engine with good performance even at low, medium and high speeds. The engine produces a maximum output of 19.3 hp, maximum torque of 15 Nm, comes with a 6-speed gearbox and the current Slipper Clutch clutch of the elder MT-15.
