BMW S1000RR COMING SOON Fitted with SUPER GRADE ENGINE, COMPETITION KAWASAKI NINJA H2

BMW has just licensed the design of electric supercharger technology, integrated on the "super motor" BMW S1000RR.

Recently, BMW has submitted a license for the design of supercharger technology that it is researching and developing. Previously, Kawasaki has achieved a lot of success in the supercharged motorcycle segment with the Ninja H2, Ninja H2 SX or Ninja H2R.

Although the supercharged engine development project will take a lot of time to complete before it is officially announced in the near future, it shows that BMW Motorrad has been developing plans. New technologies to increase the competitiveness of its Superbike models against major rivals Kawasaki Ninja H2 / H2R and Ducati Panigale V4.

Unlike the supercharger system on the Ninja H2 variants, which operates via gears linked to the crankshaft, BMW will provide air intake from the electric motor. This architecture will help the supercharger system to operate independently, more flexibly, reducing performance latency issues.

Through the image of design drawings leaked across foreign websites about BMW's supercharged engine system, it is possible to predict the location of the air compressor assembly (No. 28) operating via electric motor (number). 24), then guide the compressed air inside the combustion chamber (No. 11).

Meanwhile, the mechanism of action will be similar on other models. BMW's supercharger system is basically still an air compressor that increases the pressure and the amount of air entering the combustion chamber. The role of this device is to bring more oxygen into the combustion chamber, helping to increase fuel efficiency, thereby improving engine efficiency.

According to BMW, this technology will be applied on the new generation S1000RR, in order to increase competition with current superbike models, which are in the race for capacity. In particular, the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 with Supercharge system for capacity of up to 231 horsepower and the strongest variant of the Ducati family is the Panigale V4 R with 221 horsepower or 214 horsepower on the standard Panigale V4 / S version. / Speciale.

In the current BMW S1000RR, the car uses a 1000 cc DOHC engine block, 4 cylinders in line, liquid-cooled, producing a maximum capacity of 207 horsepower and maximum torque of 113 Nm.

The 2019 BMW S1000RR is equipped with DTC traction control systems, 4 driving modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race), standard ABS Pro brakes, electronic control suspension and Shift feature. Assist Pro will help the car to shift gears smoothly and faster.
