[CAR REVIEW] Honda SH300i - When SH150i is not enough 2019

In Vietnam market today, Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 and Suzuki GSX-R150 are being distributed genuine with prices respectively from 79 and 75 million VND (including VAT).

Since July 2017, Suzuki Vietnam has officially launched the GSX-R150 150 cc sport bike model. This is the first name to be genuine distributed in Vietnam in this segment. And recently, the sportbike competitor - Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 is also officially distributed genuine. Both still don't have ABS.

The car has an overall length of 1,970 mm, a width of 670 mm, a height of 1,070 mm and a wheelbase of 1,325 mm. Besides, the vehicle weight dropped to 137 kg.

However, the focus on cutting weight has affected the car's fuel tank capacity to 11 liters. Thin, sharp headlights, additional LED. The fuel tank has additional fake air vents. Meanwhile, the rear taillights are vertical with side slits.

The new color version still has the same yellow USD front forks in the PKL models and the familiar mono-sock forks. Both front and rear wheels use disc brakes. Vehicles equipped with sports wheels size 17 inches.

The "heart" of Yamaha YZF-R15 2019 is the SOHC engine block, single cylinder, liquid-cooled, 155cc capacity with variable valve technology VVA like the NM-X 155 and NVX 150 scooter models. In combination with a 6-speed gearbox, the engine generates a maximum capacity of 19.5 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm.

Compared to the old version, the engine of the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 was a bit more powerful. Previously, the YZF-R15 V2 had a maximum capacity of only 17.1 horsepower and maximum torque of about 14 Nm. In addition, YZF-R15 V3 is also equipped with an anti-slip clutch clutch system when shifting gears (Assist & Slipper Clutch).

Suzuki GSX-R150

Suzuki GSX-R150 uses DOHC engine block, 4 stroke, single cylinder with a capacity of 147.3 cc, liquid-cooled, electronic fuel injection FI. The engine block is capable of producing a maximum capacity of 18.6 hp at 10,500 rpm, maximum torque of 14 Nm at 9,000 rpm / 6-speed gearbox.

High performance exhaust system with a processor meeting the Euro 3 emission standard. This engine has been successfully applied on the new generation Raider Fi. The steel pipe frame on the Suzuki GSX-R150 is a combination of optimal torsional stiffness with a body weight of 131 kg, front wheels size 90/80 - R17, rear wheels 130/70 - R17. 11L fuel tank capacity.

Front and rear disc brakes are designed with a sporty petal shape combined with a piston system for safe operation efficiency. Vertical LED headlamps increase brightness but still save fuel. Meticulously crafted taillights combined with fenders, more durable with vibration resistance.

Suzuki GSX-R150 is 2,020 mm long, 1,075 mm high, 700 mm wide, wheelbase is 1,300 mm and ground clearance is 160 mm. Notably, the saddle possesses a more compact, sportier design with a seat height of 785 mm, suitable for most Asians. GSX-R150 is also equipped with intelligent locking system with remote vehicle positioning function.

Besides, the special edition GSX-R150 is also equipped with a set of accessories including genuine Yoshimura exhaust, rear turn signal cluster and fashion number plate, middle sports rear saddle combined with painted bodywork. The red and black color is reminiscent of the GSX-R series of the Yoshimura-Suzuki racing team, along with the floating "R" logo that enhances the sportiness of the vehicle.
